Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is known for his heavy set designs made for his magnum opuses and is generally the centre of attraction in his movies and not only sets, in fact Sanjay Leela Bhansali also has some great and ancient characters on whom he make great movies.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is fond of history and the hidden stories-the stories which he make alive. Previously he did a beautiful attempt when before us, he presented a cinema like Bajirao Mastani- the Love Story of a Warrior and now he is coming up with another biopic. A Biopic on the Rani of Chittor and is famous by the name of Padmavati. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati will bring the cast of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone back and hopefully the audience will re-live the magic on the screen once again but this does not ends here.
The story has one more hero-the chocolate guy of the Hindi Film Industry-Shahid Kapoor and the trio will be leading Padmavati and Deepika Padukone will be playing the lead role in this historic biopic. The film will feature unknown aspects.
Here’s a short sight into her life.
Rani Padmini or as we call her, Padmavati was famous for her beauty across the Indian land and as clear, beauty is the root cause for all and here starts her story.
For Padmavati, a Swayamvara was arranged which invited all the Hindu kings and Rajputs to ask for her hand and she was married to King Rawal Ratan Singh of Chittor. The king was already married to queen Nagmati and Padmavati became his second queen. It’s also reported in her story that Alauddin Khilji who attacked Mewar with the very purpose to own Rani Padmavati who was very impressed by her beauty and wanted to own her by force.
Her story also mentions the practice of tactics and techniques and also mentions Jauhar, the practice in which women willingly die in the lashes of fire.
Padmavati is known to be an intriguing story and it would be more interesting to see as what the story serves.
Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are putting in much effort to portray these ancient characters.
