The Ghazi Attack is the first underwater sea film going to release in theatres on 17th February 2017. It is said about the film that it’s a war that you did not know about is probably because you may not have heard of a Pakistani Submarine sinking down deep under the sea and then there was heroic battle within that incorporates a struggle to survive. It all happened in the Indo-Pakistani War that took place in 1971 and then took place some very serious consequences that shattered a country.
The Ghazi Attack is all about the real story that happened in the 1971 war and what took place behind all that. In the previous article, you all have known about the mystery of PNS Ghazi. Let’s have a quick glance of what actually had happened and what lays behind the mysterious sinking.
Ghazi was given to Pakistan on loan by U.S. and when it came it Pakistan, her name was changed to Ghazi from Diablo, actually Ghazi was a reporting name. Ghazi was a tench class diesel electric and the first fast attack submarine of Pakistan Navy. When the war of 1971 took place between India and Pakistan and Indian Navy’s INS Vikrant was Ghazi’s prior mission.
The purpose was to locate and sank Vikrant but failed to search it’s exact location as it experienced some difficulties and other issues too, and another report claimed that INS Rajput dropped bombs on Ghazi which led to its sinking but on the other side, Pakistan refused all claims made from Indian Government and thus PNS Ghazi remained as an unsolved mystery along with its serving officers on board, a mysterious sinking that was never resolved.
The Ghazi Attack is a much awaited multi-lingual film that stars Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu in the main lead. The film is based on the mysterious sinking of the submarine during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971. The film revolves around an executive naval officer who for a total of 18 days remained underwater along with his team. Rana Daggubati will be playing the Naval officer and Taapsee Pannu will be seen in a role of a refugee.
Dharma Productions is a combined producer of the film. It’s a Tollywood movie with war as its backdrop. The film also stars Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni and Akshay Mittal. The film is directed by a debutant Sankalp Reddy and is said to based on a book, Blue Fish written by himself. The film has been announced on Navy Day 2016.
